On December 19, 2004, GARFIELD "Garf" W. RODGERS, died of Lymphoma, born October 17, 1943. Mr. Rodgers retired from Armco Steel then started a second career at Western Branch Metals where he served as a member of the Board of Directors. He served in the Air National guard. Known for his sharp wit and as a master of family gatherings, he will be missed. Garf is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Jean Rodgers (Mc Kay), his four children, Tina, Jeffrey, Michael and Kevin Rodgers, 7 Grandchildren, his niece and nephew Kimberly and Tony Cerenze, his brothers and sister-in-law and many other family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster, MD on Saturday, January 8, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. with his brother-in-law, Fr. Michael Mc Kay, O.S.B. will officiate the service. Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel in Westminster are in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
