Moonlight Troupers win accolades for 'Pippin'

Crew members and actors in the Moonlight Troupers' production of Pippin at Anne Arundel Community College received awards from the American College Theatre Festival Region II.

A Certificate of Merit for seamless transitions during set and scene changes went to the stage crew. The cast and crew shifted scaffolding continuously for the different designs and locations. Stage manager Chris Manning was honored for his leadership in managing those transitions and for the overall movement of the show.

Myles Park of Bowie, who played Pippin, and Jonathon Henderson of Adelphi, who played Pippin's stepbrother, Lewis, were commended for their performances. They have been invited to compete in the Irene Ryan Acting Competition at the regional festival in January at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa.

Jennifer Kohlhafer of Severn, who portrayed Pippin's stepmother, Fastrada, will be the alternate actor for the Ryan competition.
