Kids can bring their favorite doll to the 64th annual doll show on Wednesday at the Dominic "Mimi" DiPietro Ice Rink in Patterson Park. The doll show, actually a contest, is open to children ages 14 and under. Children may bring just one doll and enter it in one of the following categories: Most Unusual, Infant, Best Dressed, Best Stuffed, Foreign, Antique, Bride, Action Figure, Character or Twin (in which doll and owner dress similarly). Ribbons will be awarded to winners of each category. Those winners will then compete to be crowned Doll Show King and Queen and win trophies. All participants receive ribbons, and all will receive free admission to the public ice skating session after the doll show.
The doll show begins at noon Wednesday at the Dominic "Mimi" DiPietro Ice Rink, Patterson Park, Pratt Street and Linwood Avenue. Free. Call 410-396-9392 for details on registration.

The movie, the story of an invisible dragon and his best friend Pete, stars Mickey Rooney, Helen Reddy, Shelley Winters and Red Buttons.
"Pete's Dragon" will be shown at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main St., Westminster. $5; $4 ages 12 and under and seniors. Call 410-848-7272.
