Art in miniature
Good things come in small packages. The Mansion at Strathmore, in North Bethesda, presents its International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature through Dec. 30.
The largest of its kind, the exhibition features paintings, calligraphy, drawings, sculpture, graphics and collage at no more than 1/6 the size of the original. This means that no image can be bigger than 25 square inches (5 inches square, for example). Sponsored by the Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, the exhibit is in the mansion's Gudelsky Gallery Suite.
