On Monday, December 13, 2004, VAUGHN "ALEX" ALEXANDER SIMMONS, Age 3, of Mc Alphin, FL, loving son of Amy M. (nee Strovel) and Vaughn E. Simmons, Jr., dearest grandson of Harry and Patricia Strovel of Mc Alphin, FL, Vaughn and Sandra Simmons, Sr., dear great-grandson of Mary Neva Simmons, nephew of Brian and Dawn Burnham, Jeff and Erin Strovel, John and Deane Schwatka, Douglas Simmons, Christopher Kern, Summer Wilkinson of Mc Alphin, FL, and the late Dave Wilkinson, cousin of John Michael Schwatka, William, Lily, Olivia Wilkinson, Hailey Burnham and Jake Strovel. Alex was born in Baltimore, MD, His family moved to Mc Alphin, FL two years ago. Alexander was a beautiful baby. He made us smile every time we looked at him. He loved his family and farm so much. Mornings were filled with warm chocolate milk and cartoons. Afternoons were filled with playing in the dirt next to mommy's feed shed, riding the tractor and helping feed the horses, goats and chickens. He also loved to swim in the pool, jump on the trampoline and swing on his playground. He did all this with much caution. We always called Alex "Safety First" because he was afraid to jump into anything; which made his mommy happy. He also loved playing with his cousins. Our hearts ache for Alex. We long to hear his "I love you too's" and feel his sweet kisses on our skin. We will not be whole until we are with him again.
