Wilkenloh, Paxton to chair Howard's 2005 Relay for Life

Debra Wilkenloh and Dottie Paxton have been named chairwomen of Howard County's 2005 Relay for Life, an overnight celebration and fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. The event, a relay in which team members run or walk around a track, is dedicated to cancer survivors and those who have died of the disease.

Both women chaired this year's event, in which 108 teams raised more than $265,000. The goal for the 2005 event, to be held June 10 and 11 at a location to be announced, is to raise $293,000.

Wilkenloh is executive assistant to the president of Niro Inc., an industrial technology firm in Columbia; Paxton is assistant vice president and branch manager at The Columbia Bank's River Hill branch.

Great Sage restaurant names new executive chef

Lynn Foster is the new executive chef at Great Sage, a vegetarian restaurant in Clarksville owned by Jeff and Holly Kaufman and Jody Cutler, owners of Roots Market and Nest, a gift shop, all in Clarksville Square.

Foster attended L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, and comes to Great Sage from Galileo Restaurant in Washington. She is the former chef and owner of the Garrett Park Cafe in Montgomery County.
