Risk Management wins award from GE Security
Risk Management Consultants of Lineboro has been named a winner in the 2004 Innovative Awards Contest sponsored by GE Security.
The company was given a merit award in the Most Innovative Use of Wireless Technology.
Winners were recognized for outstanding system design, integration, and installation for the security and home automation markets. Risk Management Consultants offers a GE Security line of products.
The project that won the award was for an elevator alarm system at BB&T; Bank in Westminster that would call for emergency assistance in the event of a power outage or other elevator trouble.
Risk Management Consultants installed a wireless elevator panic alarm with a receiver on the lowest and highest floors to guarantee signal transmission in an emergency.
The project was made more difficult by the building's concrete and steel construction but still cost significantly less than initially estimated for an upgrade to the elevator system.
Risk Management Consultants is owned and operated by Jim Emerick.
