Shooting: Two men were shot about 7:30 p.m. yesterday in the 1000 block of N. Durham St., one in the leg and the other in the side. BOth were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Details of the shootings and their conditions were not available.
Victim identified: Police identified Michael O'Laughlin, 43, of the 1400 block of Patapsco St. yesterday as the man found dead Saturday night in the basement of his home. An autopsy found that the man died of a head injury suffered in a fight several hours earlier near his home.
Drug arrest: Officer Marc Camarote and Detective Brian Katz were in the 220 block W. Baltimore St. about 9 p.m. Tuesday when they arrested Gerald Smith, 24, of the 2500 block of Boyd St., who was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Shooting: Marvell Morgan, 36, was shot in the lower back during an altercation in the first block of N. Gilmor St. about 5 p.m. Tuesday. He was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Shooting: A man was standing in the 1600 block of Abbotston St. about 12:10 a.m. yesterday when a gunman shot him in the right arm and left leg. The vistim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Shooting: Ronald Young, 33, was arguing with another man in the 500 block of W. 27th St. about 1 a.m. yesterday when he was shot in the stomach and lower back. Young was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Arrest: Kevin Wang, 18, a student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Catonsville, was arrested early Tuesday at the school and charged with possession of and manufacturing a destructive device. Late Monday, the device exploded on the front porch of a girl's home in the 1300 block of Sulphur Spring Road. No one was injured. An investigation led to Wang's arrest.
