Gauthier's 22 help St. Mary's surprise Seton Keough, 47-39


Senior Bri Gauthier scored 22 points as the visiting St. Mary's girls basketball team upset No. 15 Seton Keough, 47-39, yesterday.

Junior Haliena Snowden put in a 27-point effort for the losing Gators (2-3).

No. 2 Institute of Notre Dame 67, Bryn Mawr 33: Chandrea Jones (17 points) recorded her second triple double of the season for the host Indians (6-1), and IND's Brooks Webster posted her sixth consecutive double double, including 16 points.

No. 4 McDonogh 59, Mount de Sales 40: Anastasia Wynn had 23 points, three assists and five steals to power the host Eagles (6-0) past the Sailors (3-3).

Brittany Mallory added 16 points and seven assists for McDonogh.

No. 9 Glenelg 40, Centennial 38: The host Eagles (2-3)- led by Katie Barrett and Brittany Kelley with 12 points each - rallied late but fell short.

The Gladiators (5-0) led 37-27 with 2 1/2 minutes left, when Centennial went on an 11-3 scoring run. Alex Mundy (11 points) made the last three Glenelg baskets to hold off the Eagles.

No. 11 Severna Park 69, Joppatowne 43: Jenn Wiley scored 20 points as the host Falcons (3-0) downed the Mariners.

Severna Park, trailing 29-28 at halftime, went on a 23-2 scoring run in the fourth quarter.

No. 12 Towson Catholic 65, Notre Dame Prep 59: Leading by three, the Owls (5-1) sealed the win by making five of five free throws in the last two minutes.

Tracy Johns led visiting Towson Catholic with 23 points and 19 rebounds.

Eastern Tech 55, Hereford 33: John'a Poole scored 34 points to power the visiting Mavericks past the Bulls (1-4).


No. 11 Randallstown 80, Perry Hall 51: Johnny Higgins scored 24 points to power the host Rams (3-0), who outscored the Gators 36-9 in the second quarter.

No. 14 Old Mill 90, Bladensburg 52: Andrew Engel scored 22 points as the host Patriots (3-0) defeated the Mustangs.

Centennial 61, Glenelg 45: Drew Seker's 17 points powered the visiting Eagles (5-0) past the Gladiators (3-2).
