Road construction

About 4,000 linear feet of water main along Toll House Road, between Frederick Road and Old Columbia Pike in Ellicott City, is to begin this week, weather permitting. The old piping will be removed and replaced, and the road repaired. A temporary water main will be constructed along the west side of Toll House Road. Temporary one-lane closures will be necessary along Toll House Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during construction. Signs and flagging operations will guide motorists. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of May, if weather conditions are favorable. The second phase of the project, which will replace 4,000 linear feet of pipe between U.S. 40 and St. Johns Lane, is scheduled for 2006.
