Gaze at the stars Saturday night with the Anne Arundel Community College Astronomy Club. AACC has eight telescopes that you can use to view planets, stars and moon, or you're welcome to bring your own. Viewing is 8 p.m.-11 p.m., weather permitting.

Bel Air homes tour

Take a tour of private homes in Bel Air on a candlelight house tour Saturday. These distinctive homes are open to the public to support the Bel Air Elementary Playground Fund and the Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship Fund.

This event is designed to raise money to replace playground equipment that was removed from Bel Air Elementary School because it did not meet safety standards, and to raise money for the scholarship fund in memory of the two sisters killed in the 2001 College Park tornado.

Tickets are $15, available at Bel Air Elementary School, 30 E. Lee St. in Bel Air, on Saturday. Tours take place 2 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Call 410-879-8643.

Italian Christmas

Buon Natale! Little Italy is lighting its neighborhood Christmas tree tomorrow.

Holiday carolers from the Choral Arts Society and an Italian-speaking Santa Claus provide seasonal entertainment at this festive event, where you can keep warm with hot apple cider. Enjoy homemade cookies and authentic chestnuts while you watch the tree get decked out in weatherproof Christmas finery.

Little Italy's tree lighting is at 6 p.m. Saturday on the corner of High and Stiles streets. The event is free. Call 410-727-6876.
