Odenton man dies after motorcycle crash

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 31-year-old Odenton man died Saturday afternoon when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving near his home on Realm Court East and crashed into a parked vehicle, Anne Arundel County police said.

Police said the driver, Derrick Eugene Jeter, sustained head injuries in the 4:45 p.m. crash and was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:14 p.m.

Police said that Jeter was wearing a helmet, and that speed appeared to have been a factor in the crash.
