JOHN F. NITCHIE, 73, of Woodlyn Lane, Palm Coast, Florida, died on Wednesday, August 8 at the Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. Mr. Nitchie was a Branch Manager for the Yellow Freight Trucking Corp. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. He moved to Palm Coast, FL, in 1993 where he worked as a sales person for the Hammock Dunes Sales office, as well as a security officer for the Grand Haven Development. Mr. Nitchie was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Palm Coast, Italian/American Club of Palm Coast, Elks Club of Palm Coast, Moose Lodge of Ormond Beach, FL. He is survived by his spouse of 13 years, Diane Doub of Palm Coast, three sons, John Nitchie of Stewartown, PA, Stephen Nitchie of Dallas, Texas, George Nitchie of Baltimore, MD and one stepson, Edward Ridenour of Hagerstown, MD, one daughter, Deborah Leroy of Baltimore, MD and one stepdaughter, Cynthia Boyle of Shepardstown, W.V., eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. His mother-in-law, Helen Lushbaugh of Hagerstown, MD, and his former wife, Dorothy Worhach of Annapolis, MD. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 111 N. Frederick Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. Services entrusted to Coastal Cremation Services of Palm Coast, FL. Burial will take place on Saturday, September 11, in Hagerstown, PA.
