2002 Vignobles Boudinard "Grange des Rouquette" Marsanne-Viognier, Vin de Pays d'Oc ($11). This exquisite blend of two white Rhone Valley grapes is simply ablaze in fresh fruit -- melons, pear, peach, citrus -- and mineral flavors. It's a delicious commingling of the spiciness of viognier and the structure of marsanne. While this is a delicious and light-hearted blend, it also has more complexity than the typical summertime white. Ideally, serve this wine before Labor Day with grilled seafood or spicy fried chicken. But it's likely to have staying power at least through the end of the year. It's imported by Robert Kacher Selections -- a strong recommendation in itself.
