Donald N. Stansfield, 48, auto parts worker

Donald Norris Stansfield, an auto parts worker, died in his sleep of heart disease Friday at his Ellicott City home. He was 48.

Born in Frederick and raised in Ellicott City, Mr. Stansfield was a 1973 graduate of Howard High School, and played saxophone in the school's band.

He worked for 18 years at Antwerpen Jeep on Baltimore National Pike.

Mr. Stansfield belonged to the Mount Vernon Men's Club in Hampden.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church, 2875 Bethany Lane, Ellicott City, where he was a member and sang in the choir.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Ruth Stansfield of Ellicott City; a brother, Robert Stansfield III of Waynesboro, Pa.; three sisters, JoAnne Tucker of Mount Airy, Nancy Doane of Lovettsville, Va., and Betty Taylor of Catonsville; and four nieces and five nephews.
