Diamondbacks update
Arizona is making its first visit to Camden Yards, as the two teams begin the interleague portion of their schedules. The Diamondbacks are a half game ahead of Colorado in the battle to avoid last place in the NL West. They were 0-29 when trailing after six innings until rallying to beat Los Angeles on Sunday. Arizona's bullpen ranked 14th in ERA in the National League before holding the Dodgers to one run over 4 1/3 innings. Johnson is 1-6 lifetime in Baltimore. The five-time Cy Young winner threw a perfect game this season at age 40. Center fielder Steve Finley ranks among the NL's home run leaders with 16. He's returning to Baltimore for the first time since the Orioles traded him to the Houston Astros in 1991. Scott Hairston, brother of Orioles second baseman Jerry Hairston, has been a valuable addition since being recalled from the minors.
