Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Robbery: A man pretended to fill out a job application at KFC restaurant in the 1800 block of St. Paul St. about 9:30 a.m. Monday before the business opened, then pulled out a gun, forced the manager into a rear office and removed an undisclosed sum of money from a safe.

Theft: A laptop computer valued at $4,500 was stolen Monday from the desk of an employee at the State Highway Administration building in the 700 block of N. Calvert St.

Burglary: Someone entered Jerome's Liquors in the first block of E. Preston St. through the wall of an adjoining vacant apartment Monday and stole 75 cartons of cigarettes valued at $2,625.

Theft from vehicle: Stereo radio equipment valued at $400 was stolen Monday from a 1997 Honda parked in the 200 block of E. Chase St.

Northwestern District

Robbery: Two teenage boys were walking in the 2600 block of Fairview Ave. about 10 p.m. Monday when a gunman robbed one of $250, and took a cell phone and $50 from the other.

Stolen vehicle: A black, four-door 2004 Hyundai Elantra with tags MED 90 was stolen Monday in the 5000 block of Wabash Ave.

Southern District

Burglary: Someone entered Carroll Park Middle School/Diggs Johnson Middle School on Herkimer Street over the weekend and caused $3,680 in damage to classroom doors, windows and a soda machine. Police said the building's alarm system was not functioning.

Theft from vehicle: Eight concert tickets, five Orioles tickets and a large number of compact discs were stolen Monday from a 2003 Honda Accord parked in the 100 block of W. Cross St.

Burglary: An arrest warrant has been issued for Tamara McCoy, 43, of the first block of N. Chapel St., charging her with entering a home in the 900 block of Bethune Road on Monday and stealing $1,165 worth of DVDs, CDs, video games and accessories.

Baltimore County

Franklin Precinct

Robbery: A man and woman were walking along Old Court Road near Greenwood Road about 1:30 a.m. Monday when a man stepped from a car, struck the man, and stole the woman's purse containing $500. The man fled in the car - driven, police said, by the male victim's wife.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: An employee was leaving Popeye's Chicken in the first block of Cranbrook Road at 3:20 a.m. Monday when a gunman forced him back inside and ordered him to open a safe. The gunman escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A 1988 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle valued at $3,500 was stolen Monday from the rear yard of a house in the first block of Joggins Court.

Burglary: Video games and more than $900 were stolen Monday from a house in the 1100 block of Punjab Drive by someone who entered through a kitchen window.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Two 200-cc all-terrain vehicles valued at $900 each were stolen Monday from the rear yard of a house in the 4000 block of Monica Drive.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A 14-karat gold ring with diamonds, valued at $2,000, was stolen Monday from a bedroom of a house in the 8300 block of Philadelphia Road.

Burglary: A 4-foot-high concrete deer lawn ornament valued at $800 was stolen Monday from the front yard of a house in the 8000 block of Woodhaven Road.
