Maryland women's lacrosse edged by Duke, 9-7


DURHAM, N.C. - Duke improved to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 9-7 victory over Maryland (1-1, 0-1) on Sunday at Koskinen Stadium.

The Blue Devils jumped out to a 5-1 lead at the half and held off a late second half charge to top the Terrapins for the second time in the last three years.

Jessica Dorney led Maryland with three goals and an assist in the loss
