2 men wounded in drive-by shooting

Two men were hospitalized at Maryland Shock Trauma Center late last night after drive-by assailants shot them in the back as they sat in a parked car in the 1800 block of Thomas Ave. in West Baltimore, police said.

The two were sitting in a Dodge Intrepid shortly after 8:30 p.m. when shots were fired from a northbound vehicle, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman. The victims, ages 17 and 21, collapsed after jumping from the Intrepid and running. The 17-year-old was in critical condition last night. Their names were not released.
