Shooting: A man was in critical condition last night at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was shot in the neck late Wednesday while driving in the 100 block of Denison St. The victim, whose name was not divulged, drove to a gas station at Baltimore and Hilton streets, and an attendant called police.
Arrest: Eric Purnell, 25, of the 2600 block of Greenmount Ave. was arrested yesterday in the 1900 block of W. North Ave. by Warrant Apprehension Task Force members on a charge of attempted murder in the shooting Feb. 7 of Larry Tucker, 25, in the 4500 block of Erdman Ave.
Carjacking: A 26-year-old man gave two men a ride to the 4300 block of Penhurst Ave. about 10 p.m. Wednesday and was forced out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The men drove off with the victim's green 1995 Jeep Cherokee with tags 078M708.
Armed robbery: Three men forced their way at gunpoint into a house in the 6600 block of Vincent Lane about 4 p.m. Wednesday and robbed the female occupant of a laptop computer, two handguns and a leather coat.
Burglary: Medical equipment, including devices to remove human tissue during emergencies, was stolen from a house in the 11000 block of Gontrum Road over the weekend. The burglary was reported Wednesday.

Burglary: Fishing equipment valued at $5,693 was stolen from a shed in the 9200 block of Snyder Lane between Monday and Wednesday.
Burglary/arrests: Two boys, 14 and 15, were arrested at their homes Wednesday and charged with entering a house in the nearby 4700 block of Aldgate Green that day and stealing compact discs valued at $100.
