MPT promotes Vitalo to managing director
Maryland Public Television has appointed Alex Vitalo managing director of creative services and interactive media. She is responsible for on-air spots, underwriting credits and national productions promotions.
Before joining MPT in 2000, she was with WTIC-TV and WTXX-TV in Hartford, Conn. A Baltimore resident, the Rutgers University graduate is a 20-year veteran of the television broadcast industry.
Allegheny Energy names Morris communications VP
Allegheny Energy Inc. named Michelle S. Morris vice president, corporate communications.
Before joining the Hagerstown-based regional electric and gas utility company, the Albion College graduate was with Capital One Financial in McLean, Va., where she handled strategic communications and advised the chief financial officer.

Kirkpatrick is SunTrust business banking officer
SunTrust Bank, Maryland appointed Katie Kirkpatrick a business banking officer in its retail division. Assigned to the Hunt Valley branch, she assists business owners in the Towson and northern Baltimore County area with professional and personal banking services.
A graduate of Loyola College, she is an M.B.A. candidate at the University of Baltimore and is active with the Executive Women's Network and the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education.

Oh joins law firm of Whiteford, Taylor
Whiteford, Taylor & Preston admitted Sang W. Oh to the regional law firm as counsel in its Columbia office.
Formerly an assistant state's attorney and executive assistant to the Howard County executive, the Howard County resident is a University of Baltimore law graduate and is active in many professional and community organizations, including Howard County Bar Association, BWI Business Partnership and the Korean American Community Association of Howard County.

Williamson named VP at MIE Properties
MIE Properties Inc. named Richard Williamson a vice president of the national commercial real estate development and management company based in Catonsville. He is responsible for leasing properties in the Baltimore metropolitan and suburban Washington markets.
Active in the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties and the BWI Business Partnership, he is an M.B.A. candidate at the University of Baltimore.
