Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Drug arrests: Two Anne Arundel County men were arrested early Saturday in the 2000 block of W. Pratt St. on marijuana charges after they were observed in a car by Sgt. Allen Adkins and Officer Chris Kaikai. Charged with possession of $70 worth of marijuana were Donovan Sickler, 33, of Pasadena and Adam Barclay, 31, of Glen Burnie.
Burglary: A television set, a DVD player and movie tapes -- all valued at $950 --were stolen over the weekend from an apartment in the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle North.
Robbery: A man, 20, was walking in the 3700 block of Hudson St. about 8 p.m. Sunday when a man with a knife robbed him of a cell phone and a jacket.
Theft from vehicles: Three vehicles parked in the 500 block of S. Eden St. were broken into Sunday, and property valued at nearly $2,300 was stolen. Taken were several pieces of clothing and more than 140 compact discs. Windows were broken to gain entry.
Stolen vehicle: A gray Volkswagen Jetta with tags JKT 051 was stolen Sunday in the 2200 block of Fleet St.
Shooting: Selwyn Harrington, 33, was driving a borrowed car in the 2100 block of McElderry St. early Sunday when he was stopped by a man demanding to know why he was operating the vehicle, which belonged to a friend. After an exchange of words and a struggle, Harrington was shot in the right side. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Arrested nearby and charged with first-degree assault was Antonio Johnson, 35. Police said Harrington had permission to drive the car.
Theft: Compact discs valued at $60 were stolen Sunday from a 1998 Pontiac van parked in the 2200 block of Mura St.
Assault: Three teen-age girls were arrested about 7 p.m. Sunday and charged with aggravated assault after another girl was sprayed in the face with a chemical irritant. The incident in the 2600 block of E. Preston St. resulted from a continuing dispute.
Robbery: Police were seeking three males who robbed a man, 26, of $20 in the 2500 block of E. Monument St. about 2:30 p.m. Saturday. During the robbery, the victim was struck on the knee with a baseball bat.
Robbery: Michael Ojo, a driver for Checker Cab, was stopped in the 1000 block of Webb Court Saturday night when a woman he had picked up on Harford Road demanded his money. Ojo fled, leaving her in the cab -- which then struck a parked car and a trash container. The woman ran off with the driver's money bag, which contained about $200.
Burglary: Two handguns and $600 were stolen Sunday from a house in the 3000 block of E. Monument St.
Robbery try: An 18-year-old student at Maryland Institute College of Art was accosted by three young males while walking across the parking lot of Mount Royal Elementary School in the 100 block of Mosher St. about 10:25 p.m. Sunday. They pushed him into a school breezeway and demanded money but fled after searching him and finding none.
Burglary: Someone entered the back yard of a house in the 9300 block of Fullerdale Ave. Sunday and stole three extension ladders that had been chained to a fence. They were valued at $775.
