Management seminar slated for Thursday at BWI Hampton Inn
The West Anne Arundel and Annapolis Chamber of Commerce has launched a leadership and management seminar series titled "Breakfast Bites" beginning from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hampton Inn at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
The goal is to provide some depth in expertise, experience and service. Participants should bring management questions, problems and issues for immediate feedback and practical ideas for dealing with concerns.
The cost is $20 for chamber members and $30 for nonmembers. A continental breakfast is included. Information: 410- 672-3422.
Annapolis Rotary Club offers community grants
The Annapolis Rotary Club has grants available for this year. Grants are made available to any group dedicated to making it a better place to live. Funds must be used for specific projects, not operating expenses.
Applications can be obtained from the Web site at www.annapolisrotary.com, or a letter can be submitted containing the following:

Who will benefit.
A brief description and history of the group.

Applications and letters should be received by March 1. Results will be available in April and funds will be distributed in April and May.
Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp., a nonprofit organization, offers help to job seekers and employers throughout Anne Arundel County through its One Stop Career Center in Severna Park and through satellite offices throughout the county. The organization helps job seekers with job acquisition, career change and employment re-entry, and employers with their work-force needs in hiring and downsizing. The organization is funded by the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and Anne Arundel County.
