Black History Month event scheduled for Thursday at BWI

The Maryland Aviation Administration will hold a Black History Month event at 10 a.m. Thursday in the observation gallery of Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Featured will be two pilots from Southwest Airlines. The event is free and open to the public.

Aeronautics institute to hold dinner meeting

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics will be host for a dinner meeting Thursday at the Maryland Aviation Administration.

The MAA's executive director, Paul Wiedefeld, will speak.

The program is to begin at 5 p.m.; the cost is $8.

Blood drive scheduled for Wednesday at BWI

A blood drive for the Red Cross will be held Wednesday in the upper level of BWI airport's international concourse.

The Maryland Aviation Administration is sponsoring the drive. Appointments are encouraged, and identification is required.
