STALLINGS, RICHARD

On February 8, 2004 RICHARD LEE STALLINGS, died of congestive heart failure at Anne Arundel Medical Center. A graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy he rose to the rank of Lt. Commander. He served in both WWII and the Korean War. He was in Navy intelligence before joining the CIA becoming senior intelligence officer serving worldwide. Survivors include his wife Joan Vinson-Stallings of Annapolis; a sister Beverly Jones of Tulsa OK; two sons, Richard R. Stallings of Falls Church, VA and David D. Stallings of Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren and thirteen step-grandchildren Memorial Service at Gardens of Annapolis, Sunday February 22, 2 p.m.
