Victim named: Police yesterday identified the man shot to death in the 1500 block of Lester Morton Court on Tuesday night as Kenneth Wayne Peay, 22. The victim, of the 300 block of N. Gilmor St., was also robbed of about $200, said Detective Robert Dohony, who is investigating the killing.
Arrest: A Baltimore County man charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in the city was found and arrested early yesterday by district police during a routine traffic stop in the 3000 block of Wylie Ave. After doing a "wanted check" on the car's occupant, police arrested Corey Anderson, 29, of the first block of Rand Court in Woodlawn in the fatal shooting Feb. 3 of Kelvin Larkins Jones, 19, in the 3700 block of Beehler Ave.
Stolen vehicle: A 1994 Chevrolet Lumina with tags 805292M was taken Wednesday in the 2900 block of Strathmore Ave.
Rape: A 47-year-old woman told police she was waiting for a bus in the 2500 block of W. North Ave. about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man forced her to a vacant house in the 1800 block of Thomas Ave. and raped her. While being treated at Mercy Medical Center, the woman told police the man carried a white Thermos with blue lettering.
Robbery try: A 25-year-old University of Maryland medical student was walking in the 200 block of Emory St. about 8 p.m. Wednesday when a man armed with a knife demanded her money. As the man searched her pockets, the woman kicked him in the groin and struck him in the face. The man fled.
Stolen vehicle: After picking up two women Wednesday night, a 32-year-old man drove to the Baltimore Travel Plaza in the 5600 block of O'Donnell St. When he went inside, the women left in his green 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Shooting: Linwood Hudson, 45, was stepping from his car in the 200 block of Diener Place about 1 a.m. yesterday when three young males asked him for a ride. Hudson refused and armed himself with a baseball bat when they became angry, but was knocked down and shot in the back. He was listed in critical condition last night at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Burglary/arrests: Two Randallstown youths were arrested Tuesday and charged with entering a house in the 4800 block of Hawksbury Road and stealing video games and movie tapes. The property was recovered.
Stolen vehicle: A red four-door 1988 Oldsmobile with tags KDF 695, and keys left in the ignition, was stolen Wednesday in the 9100 block of Liberty Road.
