Shari Joyce Orbany, 42, registered nurse

Shari Joyce Orbany, a registered nurse, died of cancer Wednesday at North Arundel Hospital. The Glen Burnie resident was 42.

Born in Annapolis and raised in Severna Park, she was a 1980 graduate of Severna Park High School and earned a degree in nursing from Anne Arundel Community College.

She worked at Bon Secours and Johns Hopkins hospitals during her career.

She enjoyed travel and music.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, Ritchie Highway at Robinson Road.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Dolores and Thaddeus Potocki of Severna Park; three sisters, Karen West-Dunn of Severna Park, Cindy Smith of Cambridge and Patty Orbany of Glen Burnie; two stepsisters, Lisa Brown of Ellicott City and Janine Santmyer of Eldersburg; and two stepbrothers, Alan Potocki and Daniel Potocki of Ellicott City.
