On Friday February 6, 2004 MARY (nee Dorsch) THOMAS GILCREST, 79, of Seabury Retirement Community in Bloomfield, CT, formerly of Towson, MD, and Kent, OH, beloved wife for 25 years of Carl William Gilcrest, also of Seabury. Mary was retired from Johns Hopkins Hospital. Mary enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge with her friends, and vacationing with her family in Ocean City, MD. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Richard C. Thomas and his wife Judy of Catonsville, MD, Robert E. Thomas, III of Santa Fe, NM, and J. Woodfin Thomas and his wife Melissa of Litchfield Park, AZ; a daughter, Elizabeth "Lou" Mc Leod and her husband Douglas of Alto, NM; a brother, James Dorsch and his wife Ginny of Alexandria, VA; four grandchildren; and her husband's children and their families; and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Earle Thomas, Jr.; and five brothers and sisters. An event celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
