On February 11, 2004 SR. MARGARET DOLAN, MHSH, died at the Villa, a care facility for the Mission Helpers and the Sisters of Mercy on Bellona Ave. in Baltimore. Sr. Margaret, the beloved daughter of Margaret and Owen Dolan, was born March 23, 1921. She is one of three sisters who responded to God's call and joined the Mission of Helpers of the Sacred Heart, a missionary community dedicated to Evangelization and Catechesis in the U.S. and South America. Sr. Margaret is preceded in death by one sister, Sr. Honora and survived by Sr. Teresa Mary in Altamonte Springs, FL, her brother Charles Dolan in West Haven, CT, nieces, nephews and extended family and her religious community the Mission Helpers in Towson, MD Sr. Margaret's missionary work in religious education spanned 30 years ministering from South Carolina to Minnesota. Her last 25 years was spent as a Chaplain in hospital ministry at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL and Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando, FL. She was familiarly known in FL as the "Angel of the Hospital."Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 at The Mission Helper Center, 1001 West Joppa Rd. The Christian Wake Service will be on Friday at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Mission Helper Center Chapel. Interment will be at the New Cathedral cemetery.
