Police arrested two Ridgely men yesterday and charged them with the brutal stabbings of two Glen Burnie men, one of whom died.
Roger Jefferson Harrison, 20, of the 800 block of Bent Willow Drive, was found about 2:30 a.m. in Ferndale's Pleasantville Park and pronounced dead at North Arundel Hospital. The other victim, John Wesley Tomer III, 21, of the 200 block of Burwood Road, was in serious condition last night at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after suffering stab wounds to the upper body, Anne Arundel County police said.
After interviewing witnesses and recovering evidence at the scene, police arrested two men yesterday afternoon. Authorities said they think the victims knew their attackers.
William Russell Ross, 21, was charged with second-degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in the fatal attack on Harrison.
Bryan Francis Ross Jr., 23, was charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in the attack on Tomer.
The stabbing is the third homicide in Anne Arundel County this year.
