Police find two men fatally shot inside lounge

Police were seeking two or three men in the fatal shootings last night of two men inside a West Baltimore lounge. The victims' names were not released, and a motive for the killings was not known.

The deaths brought the city's homicide toll for this year to 33, city police said.

About 10 p.m., Western District officers investigating shots fired inside Doc's Lounge & Liquors in the 2100 block of W. Lexington St. found the victims dead or dying from head wounds.

Seconds after the shootings, several men were seen running from the lounge, and they were being sought last night, police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting was urged to call Detectives Marvin Sidnor or Eric Sharp at 410-396-2100.

In an unrelated killing, a 53-year-old Northwest Baltimore man died yesterday afternoon in the emergency room at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being stabbed in his girlfriend's home in the 1200 block of Treeleaf Court at Somerset Court, an east-side public housing complex.

Police responding to a 911 call at 11:44 a.m. found Lester Brown, 46, of the 2900 block of Edgecombe Circle North lying in a first-floor room bleeding from stab wounds to the chest, legs and hands. He died less than an hour later at Hopkins, said Detective Darren Sanders.

Sanders said Brown was stabbed during an argument.

Arrested there and charged with first-degree murder was the girlfriend, Collie Thomas, 38, police said.
