On February 7, 2004 EDWARD J. WINSHIP SR., age 98 of Mt. Vernon, MD., formerly of Timonium, MD., beloved husband of the late Margaret Goodell Winship who died July 25, 2003, loving father of Edward J. Winship Jr. and ELeanor W. Malone and her husband Dr. Winfred F. Malone; and father-in-law of Lois Winship. Also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his family members, Alvin Winship and Sharon Winship. Mr. Winship was a retired design sales engineer who worked for Koppers Company, in Baltimore, and Flex-o-Line, in Oregon State. He was a member of Timonium United Methodist Church, in Timonium. The family will receive friends in the Mt. Olive National Cemetery Chapel, in Frederick, on Tuesday at 1 P.M., with the funeral services being held at 2 P.M. Rev. Robert Mathey will be officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Timonium U. M. Church, 2300 Pot Spring Road, Timonium, MD 21093 or a local Boy Scouts of America Chapter.
