J. ROBERT BIXTER, 75, died unexpectedly February 6, 2004 at IRMH, Vero Beach, FL. Survived by his wife and friend Renate J. Bixler; his brother David and wife Caralee; his son John Robert Bixler II; his daughter Barbara B. Jackson; his son Robert W. Gleiche and wife Janet; his daughter Barbara I. Tutschek and husband Martin and his much loved grandchildren Lindsey, Brett, Amanda and Alexander. Bob was born in Boston, MA., and raised in Westminster, MD. He attended VPI, worked for Black and Decker and eventually continued his career in management with Great West Life. Following early retirement, he became the founder of Administrator Companies in Towson, MD. He was a man with unique ideas, vision and people skills. Unselfishly and unaware of it, he served as a mentor for many. Bob was a past Potentate of Boumi Temple in Baltimore, MD and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters. He and his wife retired from their business in 1997 and moved to Vero Beach. Here, he truly loved life; enjoying traveling, reading and most of all, peace. Bob fought his ongoing health problems with quiet courage. We will truly miss this kind and happy man who had a genuine interest in everyone he met. Private service will be in Westminster, MD. Donations may be made to the Tampa Shriners Hospital, 12562 N. Pine Dr. Tampa, FL. 33612
