On Monday, February 2, 2004, RAYMOND DOUGLAS MORTON, age 75, at his home in Berlin, MD. Born in Irvington, NJ, he was the son of the late Raymond Douglas Mortin, Sr. and Jessie Taylor Marton. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Anne Thomas Morton, three daughters, Kathleen Rasper and her husband Heinz of Ocean Gate, NJ, Margaret "Peggy" Smith and her husband Allen of Waretown, NJ, and Patti Lee Fischer and her husband David of Asbury, NJ; and one granddaughter, Allison Taylor Smith of Waretown, NJ. Mr Morton was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology. He was an engineer with Westinghouse in Linthicum, MD. He was a Army Air Force veteran of WWII, member of Harundale Presbyterian Church in Glen Burnie, member of the Grand Commandory Knights Templar of Cockeysville, member of the Masonic Order of Royal Arch in Odenton, MD, member of the Boumi Temple Shrine in Baltimore and member of the Boggs-Disharoon American Legion Post #123 in Berlin. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 A.M. at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin where friends may call one hour prior to the service and also on Thursday evening from 6 to 8:00 P.M. where a masonic service will be held at 7 P.M. at the funeral home. The Rev. Gary Baer will officiate. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ocean City Paramedics, P.O. Box 2338, Ocean City, MD 21843 or to Atlantic General Hospital, 9733 Healthway Dr., Berlin, MD 21811.
