Arundel warrant issued for boyfriend of strangled woman

Anne Arundel County police have issued an arrest warrant for the boyfriend of a woman found dead Monday in their Millersville apartment.

The warrant charges Robert Charles Antonelli, 38, with first-degree murder in the death of Nancy Susan Kreamer, 44. An autopsy revealed that Kreamer had been strangled, police said yesterday.

Antonelli, officially named a suspect in the killing yesterday morning, was apprehended Tuesday by sheriff's deputies in Northampton County, N.C., after he called 911 to turn himself in, Anne Arundel police said. He was found sitting in Kreamer's 2001 Oldsmobile Alero at a welcome center near the Virginia state line, police said.

Antonelli was being held yesterday at the Northampton County Detention Center. It was unclear when he would be extradited to Maryland.

Antonelli pleaded guilty last month to second-degree assault for an incident in September in which he choked Kreamer to the point that she blacked out, according to court records. He was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and ordered to participate in alcohol and domestic violence programs.

Kreamer allowed Antonelli to continue living at their apartment in the 500 block of Jeffrey Road. Police were called there about 8:30 a.m. Monday by Kreamer's sister, who also lived in the apartment. Kreamer was pronounced dead at the scene.
