County committee wants school name suggestions
The Howard County public school system's School Naming Committee seeks suggestions from the community for a name for the new high school that will be built across from Mount View Middle School in Marriottsville. The high school is scheduled to open in August of next year.
Board of Education policy calls for school names to reflect geographical areas of the county - communities, neighborhoods or street locations - and to avoid the duplication of names.
Suggestions can be submitted in writing to Bobbie Gemmell, Howard County Public School System, 10910 Route 108, Ellicott City 21042.
To serve on the school naming committee: 410-313-6622.
