Matchup: Kansas City Comets (8-13) vs. Blast (16-6)
Site: 1st Mariner Arena
Radio: WCBM (680 AM)
Outlook: The Blast's league-high seven-game winning streak ended Sunday in Dallas, 7-6 in overtime. Kansas City has struggled much of the season despite a talented roster. The Comets defeated the Blast, 7-6 in overtime, in their first meeting in December, but the Blast won, 10-6, in Kansas City earlier this month. The Comets have picked up defenseman Jake Dancy, 25, who was with the team last season, and signed Brazilian goalkeeper Sanaldo, 26, to a four-year deal. The Blast has signed defender Ibrahim Kante, 22, who played at Essex Community College and Mercer Community College in New Jersey. He was an All-American selection and team MVP at Essex, and played in the Professional Development League for the Chesapeake Dragons. Kante, who is from Mali, West Africa, will be eligible to play for the Blast as soon as his visa paperwork is complete. The Blast lists David Bascome (foot), Chris Handsor (groin), Danny Kelly (foot) and Tarik Walker (ankle) as probable and Allen Eller (ankle) as questionable. Kansas City reports only Dusan Radovanovic (knee) as out and on the injured-reserve list.
