Two enlisted men who work at the Naval Medical Clinic at the Naval Academy were arrested Tuesday and charged with groping a woman at a weekend party in Eastport.
Gabriel Hilario, 34, of Badger Road in Annapolis, and Larry Barnes, 24, of Bricktown Circle in Glen Burnie, were arrested after Annapolis police reviewed the woman's statement.
Both men were charged with one count each of fourth-degree sexual offense, Annapolis police said yesterday.
According to the statement of charges, the woman went upstairs to change her clothes about 2 a.m. Sunday. Two men followed her, pushed her onto a bed and began groping her, the statement of charges said. The woman told them to stop, but they refused, the statement said.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service confirmed it is also looking into the matter. The Naval Academy issued a statement confirming the NCIS investigation and said the academy is cooperating fully. An academy spokeswoman declined to comment further.
