Southern District
Homicide arrest: Samuel Price, 22, of the 100 block of W. Hamburg St. was arrested yesterday at his attorney's downtown office by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of first-degree murder. He is accused in the shooting Dec. 23 of Robert G. Green, 33, during an argument in the first block of S. Fulton Ave. Police said Green was shot more than a dozen times.
Western District
Homicide arrest: Christopher Turpin, 20, of the 2700 block of Berea Road, who was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center on a theft charge was served with an arrest warrant there yesterday charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting Sunday afternoon of Thomas Grimes, 21, near the victim's home in the 1900 block of Lauretta Ave. Detective Eric Sharp said two women were fighting when Grimes became involved and was shot by a male friend of one of them.
Robbery: About 10 a.m. Tuesday, a gunman robbed Modern Junk & Salvage in the 1400 block of N. Fremont Ave. of $155. It was the second time in several days the firm was robbed at gunpoint. It was not known if the same man committed both robberies.
Southeastern District
Burglary: Power tools valued at $390 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1900 block of Dillon St.
Central District
Theft: A radio and combination television/DVD player were stolen Tuesday from a sport utility vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave.
Theft: A cell phone and several compact discs -- all valued at $750 -- were stolen yesterday from a 2002 Infiniti parked in the 1000 block of N. Charles St.
Eastern District
Burglary: Electronics and appliances valued at $4,100 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 200 block of N. Collington Ave.
Northwestern District
Assault/carjacking: A 28-year-old man driving a rented 2003 Chevrolet Impala was stopped in the 3400 block of Park Heights Ave. about 2 a.m. Tuesday when a man got out of a gold Neon and demanded payment of a debt. He pulled the victim out and drove off with the Impala, while three other men from the Neon beat the victim.
Baltimore County
Wilkens Precinct
Bank robbery: A man asked a teller at Wachovia Bank in the 500 block of Frederick Ave. about opening an account about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, then handed over a note demanding money and placing a handgun on the counter. The robber escaped with an undisclosed sum.
Cockeysville Precinct
Robbery try/arrest: A woman, 57, was walking across the Giant Food parking lot in the 11300 block of York Road about 8 a.m. Tuesday when a man implying he had a gun tried to steal her purse. The woman cried out, and witnesses pointed out the fleeing man to police. Arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery and held on $75,000 bond was John M. Spence, 36, of the 900 block of Radcliffe Road in Towson.
Robbery/arrests: Two 16-year-old boys were arrested Tuesday afternoon after they allegedly assaulted a boy, 15, in the first block of Tradewind Circle and robbed him of $260.
