Maryland women top Virginia, 69-55

Maryland women's basketball team won its second-straight Atlantic Coast Conference game with a 69-55 victory over Virginia in front of 2,802 at Comcast Center.

Delvona Oliver and Shay Doron led Maryland with 14 points each. Senior Crystal Washington (Bishop McNamara) and junior Alli Spence both added 12 points.

The Terrapins improved to 10-3 overall.

The win snaps a six-game Maryland losing streak to the Cavaliers. It is also the Terps' largest margin of victory since a 75-54 win over N.C. State on Feb. 25, 2001.

Maryland plays its first road ACC game of the season, traveling to Wake Forest (7-6, 0-2 ACC) on FridayThe game, which was previously scheduled for a 7 p.m. start has been rescheduled for an 11 a.m. tip-off.
