The Wilde Lake Community Association will sponsor a series of workshops by Eva Skrenta of the Adler-Dreikurs Parenting Program.
Topics include "Communicate So Children Will Listen" (Sept. 20); "Dealing with Anger: Your Own and Your Child's" (Oct. 18); "When Children Fight" (Nov. 22); and "Setting Limits Effectively" (Dec. 6).
The Saturday morning seminars, scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., cost $15 per person or $22 per couple. They will be held at Slayton House in the Wilde Lake Village Center on Sept. 20, Oct. 18 and Nov. 22 and at Bryant Woods Neighborhood Center on Dec. 6
A 10-week course, "Children: The Challenge, Level I," will be offered from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays, starting Sept. 29 at Slayton House, and continuing at the Running Brook Neighborhood Center for nine weeks.
A 10-week course, "Children: The Challenge, Level II," will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Running Brook Neighborhood Center.
The cost is $90 per person or $135 per couple for each course.
Free seminar to explore improving medical care
Town Center Community Association will sponsor a free seminar, "Seven Ways to Improve Your Medical Care," at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at Historic Oakland, 5430 Vantage Point Road.
