On Tuesday, August 26, 2003 ANNE HODGE (WITHERSPOON) GRIM, 77, of West Simsbury, CT, died at McLean Home in Simsbury. Beloved wife for 51 years of Kenneth H. Grim. She was born May 7, 1925 in Baltimore, MD. Daughter of the late Andrew Carothers and Florence (Brandau) Witherspoon and had lived in West Simsbury, CT for the last 25 years. Anne was a graduate of Goucher College and Northwestern University graduate school. In the early years of her marriage she worked at Bell Laboratories in New York and Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY. She was a former member of the Women's Republican Club. She loved traveling, photography, sports and Bridge. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John W. Grim of West Hartford, CT, Brian R. Grim and his wife Mary Ellen of Columbus, OH; two grandchildren, Sean Thomas and Danielle Ellen. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday, September 6, 11 A.M. in the Carling Chapel at McLean Home, 75 Great Pond Rd., Simsbury, CT.
