Anne Arundel County officials announced yesterday the completion of a road resurfacing and sidewalk installation project on Odenton Road.
As part of the project, crews also built a bike and walking trail, a major link in the county's pedestrian and bicycle master plan.
Construction of the project started last fall and cost about $1.5 million. The project was paid for with grants from the state's Neighborhood Conservation Program and a federal Highway Transportation Enhancement Award.
The 4-foot-wide sidewalk is located on the south side of Odenton Road between Piney Orchard Parkway and Greenwood Street.
The bike trail runs along the north side of the street between Piney Orchard Parkway and Route 175. The trail addition - which will link the WB&A; Trail to the proposed South Shore Trail - is less than a mile long.
