Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: A woman, 24, was treated for a graze wound to her head at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being caught in crossfire as two gangs traded gunshots about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of N. Linwood Ave.

Southern District

Burglary/arrest: An intruder broke a window and stole two laptop computers, 50 gold rings and a camcorder from a rental store in the 1400 block of W. Patapsco Ave. about 4 a.m. Wednesday, but the business owner witnessed the burglary and called police. Responding Officer Ray Montgomery saw a man fitting the suspect's description walking on a nearby street and arrested him. Charged with burglary, and treated for a cut at Harbor Hospital, was Earl J. Garrison, 37, of the 2400 block of Terra Firma Road. The property, valued at $18,000, was recovered.

Burglary: Police were seeking the person who broke into a house in the 2100 block of Maisel St. while the occupant was away between June 19 and June 24 and stole tools, a 32-inch television, a power washer, jewelry, watches and other items - all valued at $2,427. Police said the occupant delayed reporting the break-in until Tuesday because he knew who did it and wanted to settle the matter himself.

Southeastern District

Arrest: Jose Otero, 17, of the 1400 block of Broening Highway was arrested Wednesday outside a store in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of attempted murder in the shooting Aug. 14 of two males in the 1400 block of Gusryan St.

Theft from vehicle: Someone broke into a Plymouth Voyager in the 6200 block of O'Donnell St. on Wednesday and stole $130 in property and cash.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A boy, 16, was walking in the 1100 block of Ashburton St. about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when another youth shot him in the neck with a BB gun. The victim was released after treatment at St. Agnes HealthCare.

Robbery: A woman, 78, was about to enter her home in the 4200 block of Frederick Ave. through a rear door about 4 p.m. Wednesday when another woman asked her for $3. When the victim refused, she was knocked to the ground and robbed of her purse and $81.

Stolen vehicle: A brown 1990 Plymouth Voyager with tags 075M929 was stolen Wednesday in the first block of N. Athol Ave.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A .32-caliber Rossi handgun, a Taurus .357 handgun and a set of house keys were stolen Tuesday from a safe in a house in the 5600 block of Arnhem Road.

North Point Precinct

Arson: A rented 2003 Chevrolet Blazer owned by Avis in Virginia Beach, Va., was found destroyed by fire while parked next to a stream bed in the 6800 block of Quad Ave. on Wednesday night.

Burglary: A go-cart and two lawn mowers - all valued at $505 - were stolen Wednesday from a shed in the 2000 block of Inverton Road.

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, and a female accomplice robbed an M&T; Bank branch in the 9800 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, entered McDonald's in the 500 block of Frederick Road about 6 a.m. Wednesday, ordered several employees onto the floor and had the manager remove a undisclosed sum of money from an office safe.
