Test your sea legs Sunday at Getaway Sailing's open house.

The Canton company will offer an afternoon of free sails aboard a 23-foot boat. Reservations are required for this popular event, so call ahead to hold a space. Tours will take place 11 a.m.to 3 p.m., and refreshments will be available on site.

The Constellation

Help the USS Constellation Museum celebrate the 149th anniversary of the ship's launch, Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.

Planned activities, which will take place both onboard the ship and around Pier 1, will include games, tours, cannon firings and naval demonstrations.

Events taking place on Pier 1 are free; however, those interested in boarding the boat will be charged $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children.

Italian Festival

The streets of Little Italy come alive this weekend when the Church of St. Leo the Great kicks off its annual Italian Festival.

The two-day event honors St. Gabriel (the patron saint of Italy's Abruzzi region) and will feature bocce ball tournaments, bingo games, pasta dinners and live entertainment.

The festivities will surround the 122-year-old church, taking place on both Exeter and Stiles streets.

The Church of St. Leo the Great is at 227 S. Exeter St. Festival hours are noon-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call the rectory at 410-675-7275.
