AUSTIN, MARILYN

MARILYN AUSTIN passed away in the manner in which she wanted, peacefully and surrounded by her family. She suffered a series of ailments over the past half-year, finally succumbing on Friday, August 15, 2003. She is survived by her sister, Ann Austin of Milton, DE; her sons, Jason Knight of San Francisco, CA and Brooke Knight, of Medford, MA; her daughter-in-law, Cher Knight; and granddaughter, Beatrix Knight. Marilyn enjoyed painting, gardening, accounting, sewing, reading and traveling among other activities. She generously donated her time to St. John's Church, tole painting societies, and Delaware Master Gardeners. Most important to her were the relationships she nurtured everywhere she went. She loved and was loved by many. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at St. John's Western Run Parish, 3738 Butler Road, Glyndon, MD on Saturday, August 23, at 11 AM. A party at the rectory will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to St. John's Church, The Master Gardeners of Delaware or the American Lung Association.
