Rating the QBs

How the Ravens' quarterbacks stacked up in yesterday's drills:

1. Chris Redman

Looked more confident in his decision-making. Started drills with a 15-yard pass over the middle to Marcus Robinson and threaded a pass between two defenders on a short slant to Randy Hymes. Finished day by recording touchdowns on both of his passes in a red-zone session.

2. Kyle Boller

Quarterbacked the only two-minute drill of the day, which resulted in a 29-yard field goal. Against the second-team defense, he converted one third down with a 12-yard scramble and another with a 24-yard pass to tight end Lamar Hill. On his throw to Hill, Boller started to go with a swing pass to his left before finding his tight end down the middle of the field at the last moment.

3. Anthony Wright

Ran scout offense for most of practice. On a red-zone drill, he was 2-for-3 for 18 yards and was stopped short of the end zone. Fumbled the ball after a poor snap from center Jason Thomas.

Thumbs up

Receiver Robinson gets the tough guy award for this camp. Yesterday's practice was non-contact, but he took the hardest hit of the morning when he was upended by Justin Smith after leaving his feet to make a catch. Robinson has taken more hits than any other receiver and is sent deep constantly, but takes it all in stride.

Thumbs down

The young tight ends had another rough day. Hill and Trent Smith both dropped passes.

"When you get the first down, there is nothing like it. You can see the confidence when you go back in the huddle." - Frank Sanders on picking up first downs on third down.

Offensive tackle Orlando Brown (knee), running back Musa Smith (knee), center Mike Flynn (knee), tight end Todd Heap (back), safety Ray Perryman (shoulder), linebacker Bernardo Harris (leg) and receiver Javin Hunter (Achilles' tendon) did not practice and will not play tomorrow night. Punter Dave Zastudil left practice early after straining his hamstring and will not play against the Bills. Receiver Todd Devoe (leg) did not practice and is questionable for Buffalo.
