Final two shows

The final two productions in this year's Baltimore Playwrights Festival open this weekend, beginning tonight with Warren Goldie's Trenches at Fell's Point Corner Theatre. Set in Warsaw during the Nazi occupation, this drama by the son of a Holocaust survivor focuses on the family of a resistance fighter. Lance Lewman directs a cast headed by Gareth Kelly and featuring Rodney Bond and Deborah Newman as his parents.

Tomorrow, Rich Espey's Fifty/Fifty opens at the Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theatre. A comedy about a boarding school headmaster whose contented life hits a snag, Fifty/Fifty is directed by Neal Freeman and stars Jonas Grey. Bethany Brown, Oscar Ceville, April Crowell and Maynard Edwards complete the cast.
