CAMP INSIDER

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Rating the QBs

How the Ravens' quarterbacks stacked up in yesterday's scrimmage:

1. Chris Redman

Rifled his best pass of camp - a 40-yard throw to Travis Taylor down the middle of the field - to direct the offense into the red zone during a two-minute drill. But the session ended without any points because Redman completed a short pass to tight end Terry Jones in the right flat instead of stopping the clock. He was the day's most consistent passer, completing nine of 13.

2. Anthony Wright

Had no touch on his first two throws, missing badly on short fade routes to Marcus Robinson and Ron Johnson in the end zone. Rebounded to finish 6-for-10, which included an impressive seven-on-seven red zone drill. Against the starting defense, he hit Randy Hymes in the corner of the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown and then strong-armed a 6-yard throw to Frank Sanders for a score.

3. Kyle Boller

Logged first full practice, and it showed at times. He had to re-huddle the offense twice to call the plays correctly and was 2-for-8 in the two-minute drill. Hit Marcus Robinson on a 35-yard pass down the left sideline and ended on a high note, leading a 65-yard drive that stalled at the 2. Finished 12-for-22 with an interception.

Thumbs up

Airabin Justin ran step-for-step with Javin Hunter on a 40-yard route and knocked away the pass. Justin had one of the best practices of any player yesterday. ... The third-string defense had an impressive goal-line stand. ... Chris Redman completed a 30-yard attempt to Travis Taylor on third down against the starting defense. ... Gary Baxter had an interception that would have been returned for a touchdown in a game.

Thumbs down

The starting offense let the clock run out without getting a field goal off during a two-minute drill. ... Trent Smith had two dropped passes. ... Bennie Anderson had to do a lap around the field.

Quotable
