Chamber and college to offer leadership program for '03-'04

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will hold its Leadership Carroll program for 2003--2004.

The program is a partnership of the chamber and Carroll Community College.

Since its inception in 1990, it has provided community leaders with an expanded knowledge of the problems, opportunities and issues facing the county.

Leadership Carroll provides an overview of the county's history, agricultural heritage and traditions; its relationships and interactions among the county's major components; and the community's economic, legal and political future.

The program also offers opportunities to develop contacts with classmates, alumni, guests and key decision-makers.

Leadership Carroll builds civic awareness and skills through: leadership style and skills assessment; leadership theory and techniques; teambuilding concepts and exercises; presentations by community and business leaders; and exposure to community issues and opportunities.

The program meets monthly for full-day sessions from September to June.

Applications are available at www.carrollcountychamber.org or 410-848-9050.
